"A great nation is only as great as its leader."
This is the motto of St. Benedict's Academia, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools located in the city of Bittersomer. Home to either the incredibly wealthy or the incredibly intelligent, it is here where these special students are taught not only to succeed in life, but become the next chapter in the diplomacy of the world. For not only are these students being taught to become the best doctors, musicians, artists or politicians in the world, but to bring together the countries of the world in one unified cause: peace. And while these students have their typical classes that any high school has, they are also empowered new skills. It is the mission at St. Benedict's to teach students of a good morality while perfecting their social skills needed for their duty to humanity. Here however, just as a look to the future is important, students look to the past as well. St. Benedict's, however being a private school is still a high school, where stereotypes and labels are abundant. There may be the labels between the "jocks" and the "geeks", but these students have to learn to put those names and labels aside if they are to unite for one cause.
While the school rests over an outcropping that loves over the entire city like royalty, the people below could be compared to peasantry. It is mostly simple, hard working men and women that populate Bittersomer; but as any city is, there is a danger. The castle that was modified and modernized to serve as the temporary home for students while enrolled at the Academia is made to be separate from these people, keeping students away from the bustle of a city life, and mingling with those who could be considered "below" their status. And while yes, time is allowed outside of the school for students to go into the city, it is very rare. Why waste time that could be spent educating the future of humanity by sending these gifted children into the hands of robbers, muggers, rapists and murderers? It is obvious that with such important figures paying for their children to attend the Academia, officials would rather not risk harm to their prodigies.
The people of the city though argue this accusation outright, and many of the students agree. Why, when the city is mainly safe, should they be locked away for studies at all times? It is why these children are constantly making an effort to escape away from their stone walled confines out into the world– experience new things that they may never be able to do at any other time in their life. After all, caged birds do not sing. But with a world filled with constantly changing technology, music, art and industry, who knows what a child could be exposed to. In a world that keeps advancing forward, it might not be best to instill in students such outdated information and keep them confined. Will one follow the rules or be constantly locked away in their life? Will they take the rise to learn about the real world and its realities, something that no person can teach in a classroom?
