Usually he's a shy, quiet being, always looking out for others and loyal to a fault. Even when surrounded by humans, he's usually pretty laid-back, albeit a little jumpy. He's content with being a bystander, watching and learning while remaining unnoticed. If you leave him alone, he'll leave you alone. Simple as that. It's difficult to anger him, with only a few things that truly set him off, but be warned: once roused, his temper is a terrible thing. This other side of him is vicious, a violent beast that will not rest until the offender has paid for their crimes. He finds this both thrilling and terrifying, relishing the power even as the guilt threatens to overwhelm him. He finds the thought of injuring another living being somewhat repulsive, no matter how much they might deserve it, and yet sometimes he just can't help himself. He's conflicted about his Pokemon powers, and the idea of fighting in the Arena certainly doesn't help things. He doesn't like being touched. At all. He's got this thing about his personal space, and invading it is a surefire way to piss him off. Intrude on an area that he considers his, and he'll chase you down with a vengeance. His parents were Bystanders, both dirt poor, and ran a sort of safe house for free shifters. Raphael grew up surrounded by refugees, constantly told stories of abuse and enslavement, and fear of the masters was ingrained into him from a young age. When he shifted for the first time, he was horrified, but has since resigned himself to being looked down upon.
